What we collect through this website and in the course of an engagement, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
SSB Tax Consultants ("SSB", "we", "us") is a tax consultancy based in Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to deliver our services:
- Contact details you submit through our enquiry, newsletter or Tax Calculator forms: name, company, email address and telephone number. The figures you enter into the Tax Calculator are not collected: the calculation runs in your browser and they are never sent to us.
- Engagement information provided in the course of an engagement, including financial records, trade licence details and tax registration information.
- Technical data collected automatically, such as browser type, device and pages visited, used to understand how the site performs.
How we use it
Personal data is used to respond to enquiries, deliver the services you engage us for, meet our own legal and regulatory obligations and, where you have opted in, to send you our newsletter.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Why we're allowed to hold it
We process personal data where it is necessary to perform a contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving our practice, where you have given consent (for example to receive our newsletter), and where we are required to by law, including record-retention obligations under UAE tax legislation.
Who we share it with
We may share information with regulatory authorities where we are legally required to, including the Federal Tax Authority when acting as your registered agent; with professional advisers such as independent auditors where an engagement requires it; and with service providers who host our systems under confidentiality obligations.
How long we keep it
Engagement records are retained for the periods required by UAE tax and commercial legislation. Enquiry data that does not lead to an engagement is retained for a reasonable period and then deleted. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and confidentiality obligations across our team. Client financial information is treated as strictly confidential and access is limited to the personnel working on your engagement.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. Nothing on it is loaded from a third party.
It keeps two small notes in your browser's own storage: that you have already given your details to the Tax Calculator, so you are not asked again on the same device, and that the assistant's one-time hint has been shown. Neither holds personal data, and clearing your browser's site data removes both.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, request deletion where we are not required to retain it, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practice or in applicable law. The date below indicates when it was last revised.
