Books your auditor, your bank and your board all accept.
Corporate Tax made your accounting records a tax document. We maintain them to the standard that implies: accurate monthly, IFRS-compliant, and always ready for whoever asks to see them.
Overview
Every UAE business is now expected to maintain proper accounting records, and those records are the foundation of the Corporate Tax return. A return can only be as defensible as the books beneath it, which is why bookkeeping stopped being an administrative afterthought and became a compliance function.
We maintain your ledgers to IFRS, close each month on a fixed timetable, and produce management reporting that actually tells you something (margin by line, cash conversion, receivable ageing) rather than a trial balance nobody reads.
For most clients this replaces an in-house finance hire entirely, at a fraction of the cost and with a specialist team behind it.
What's included
Every engagement is scoped to what you actually need. This is the full range we cover:
Who this is for
SMEs without an in-house finance team, fast-growing companies outgrowing their bookkeeper, and groups needing consistent reporting across multiple licences.
Under the Corporate Tax regime, accounting records support the taxable income you declare and are expected to be retained. Reconstructing a year of books under deadline pressure is the single most expensive thing we're asked to do, and the easiest to avoid.
How the engagement runs
- System setup. We design a chart of accounts that maps cleanly to both IFRS reporting and your Corporate Tax computation from day one.
- Monthly cycle. Transactions posted, accounts reconciled and the month closed on a fixed date you can plan around.
- Reporting. Management accounts with commentary: what moved, why, and what needs your attention.
- Year-end. A complete audit file handed over ready, so the audit is a review rather than a reconstruction.

Accounting & Bookkeeping, answered.
The questions we're asked most often on this service.
Most likely yes. Mainland companies are generally required to have their accounts audited, and many free zones require audited statements for licence renewal. If you are claiming the 0% rate as a Qualifying Free Zone Person, audited financial statements are one of the conditions, not an optional extra. Banks and buyers ask regardless of what the law requires. We will confirm which of these applies to you before your year end, not after it.
We work in whatever you already use, including Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally and Sage. If you are starting from scratch or your current setup is holding you back, we will recommend what fits your volume and structure rather than what suits us. You keep ownership of the file and the login in every case, so nothing is locked to us.
Yes, and it is more common than people assume. We start by establishing how far behind things actually are and what has already been filed, so you know the real position before any work begins. Catch up work is scoped and quoted separately from the ongoing monthly service, so you can see exactly what you are paying to fix versus what you are paying to maintain.
Accounting records and supporting documents must be retained for at least seven years from the end of the relevant tax period, with longer retention required for some real estate records. That means invoices, contracts, bank statements and the working papers behind your returns, not just the financial statements themselves. We maintain the archive alongside the books, so if the FTA asks for something from four years ago it takes minutes rather than weeks.
Find out where you stand.
It takes less than 30 minutes.
A call to review your obligations across tax, VAT, audit and reporting. We flag anything at risk and give you a clear next step. If you don't need us, we'll tell you that too.
